Force Flyer accelerometer-controlled RC helicopter, we go gloves-on (video)

Force Flyer
Being able to wave your hand through the air and control a physical object -- as if by magic -- is everyone's dream. And if you say it's not yours, then you sir or ma'am are a liar. That's why we had to stop at the Regal Elite booth on the floor at Toy Fair. The company was showing off the Force Flyer, an RC helicopter you pilot with an accelerometer-equipped glove. The patented tech, called Glove Force Technology, adds a level of physical interactivity that's more Wii than RC. A small joystick you hold in your palm controls thrust, while tilting and moving your hand through the air gets the chopper to perform acrobatic maneuvers -- or plummet to the ground if you're an Engadget editor. The Regal Elite staff seemed to have pretty good control of the Force Flyer, which gives us hope that our difficulty in keeping the toy airborne was due more to our lack of familiarity and not with the quality of the device. The glove controller on hand was still a prototype (as is much of what's on the floor at Toy Fair), hence the New Balance logo, but the actual internals are around 80 percent complete according to a rep. The smaller, indoor Force Flyer should be hitting the market in late April for $49.95, followed by a larger outdoor version. Check out the gallery below and video after the break for more.

The opportunity of real communication in the future

Today’s society has a deficit of real communication between people. Most young people prefer to spend their time and communicate with  friends in sociale networks rather then being with them physically. This phenomenon restricts the movement of people in real life and promotes an unhealthy lifestyle. The FindeR Communication System was designed by Oscar Santamaria to decide this problem. This concept uses the current notions of online social networking to bring people together in real life.

A futuristic Concept marine two-seater vehicle 2040.

Innovative conceptions inspired by biological organisms are not actually a new notion in the field of transportation.  The ambitious project encompasses a concept marine vehicle for efficacious yet sustainable maneuvering under the water. Visually akin to a whale, the aesthetically pleasing demeanor of the mechanical contraption fuses well with its overall white-black color scheme. The naturalistic curvaceous bearing is accentuated by the unobtrusive, flowing design lines. But beyond the essence of visual allure, the conception does have some pretty useful features. As the name suggests, the vehicle will give a faster mode of transportation under water, with a rich user experience.  Future technology A futuristic Concept marine two-seater vehicle 2040

Coming to its fervently ‘green’ credentials, the power train of the marine craft will be composed of a special biogas engine with 800 hp capacity. The craft can itself refuel at unmanned stations; with the biogas being produced in self-sustaining water based metropolises. Coming to the maneuvering part, the body of the vehicle will be created out of a lightweight yet sturdy composite of molded carbon fiber and honeycomb construction. While the sleek structure (with just 928 kg weight) will certainly help in motional attributes, the water-jet driven steering will be improved by special rear flaps. Vehicle have a top speed of around 300 knots (with average speed of 120 knots).

Concept Transparent Smart Window.

The scientific world of fantasy and reality! These concepts are converging more and more!
Imagine a world of see-through monitors, windows that are interactive, and car windscreens that relay all the information on the screen rather than the dashboard beneath it. Modern technologies allow to do it! Dubbed the Samsung Transparent Smart Window, the transparent touchscreen LCD tech can fit a window any size up to 46 inches and deliver a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels allowing full interaction at the same time. Future technology Concept Transparent Smart Window

Users will be able to supply content via HDMI or USB  or reproduced video perfectly quickly jumping between different menu options like checking travel details, the weather, what was on television, or even just using it as an expensive blind to block out light.  The same screen technology can be used to create smaller screens with higher resolutions. Example it measured 22 inches and offered a higher resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels. And if you are worried that others will be able to see what you are doing from behind the screen. Don’t. Samsung says that the technology comes with a privacy screen that works like a one-way mirror. Are you interested? HYT H1: liquid watch concept

Two bellows are used to push and pull the liquid to show the time on the scale. The Hydro by HYT uses a liquid filled chamber to display the hours using luminescent green goo in a circular tube. On the right is a power reserve indicator for the mechanical movement. The minutes are displayed in the center of the face with a dedicated dial, and there is a water turbine style subsidiary seconds hand to the left of it. The movement has a power reserve of 65 hours and is visible through the rear of the watch.

The H1 will be available in titanium, DLC black coated titanium, and 18k red gold. Design wise the case reminds me a lot of the Clerc Hydroscaph. The case will be 48.8mm wide and a pretty massive 17.9mm thick. The HYT H1 in titanium will be priced at $45,000.
